Ananas comosus, or Pineapple, is a Bromeliad from South America which produces an irresistibly delicious, versatile and healthy tropical fruit. While many people know what a pineapple is, few people ever experience pineapple as nature intended, because pineapples only grow in the tropics. Needless to say, these are not the pineapples you are accustomed to. Unlike pineapples picked prematurely and shipped a thousand miles to your local store, our pineapples are grown right here in Miami.  They are picked ripe, once all of the natural development has occurred, which contributes to maximum flavor and scent. Oftentimes the final stage of fruit development is what contributes the most to the flavor and quality of a fruit, and commercially available fruit and produce is picked before this can occur.

All of our Pineapples are non GMO, and 100% organically grown. Fresh pineapple contains natural enzymes which combat inflammation and aid in digestion, immune health, and healing. Pineapple is rich with nutrients and antioxidants which complement a healthy mind, body and lifestyle.

Pineapple is especially rich in vitamin C, and manganese. The fruit contains a special group of digestive enzymes known as Bromelian, which are thought to aid in digestion, as well as compounds which could aid in cancer prevention and arthritis discomfort, due to their ability to reduce oxidative stress and inflammation.

Apart from the remarkable nutritive qualities of pineapple, this zesty fruit is incredibly versatile and can be incorporated in a wide spectrum of dishes, beverages and blends.

While pineapple features a tough, and forbidding skin, almost Jurassic in appearance, here are a couple tips to help you identify the perfect time to indulge in the ripe fruit. Our Pineapples will generally ship ready to eat; however, a ripe pineapple will always present a fragrant, sweet and tropical aroma. The fruit is ripe and ready to eat if it gives to firm pressure when squeezed.

Pre-Orders will ship in the order they are received, as soon as the fruit is in season and ready to be picked.

Box weight and amounts vary depending on fruit type, volume and density.  All boxes are shipped with sustainably produced biodegradable packing material instead of Styrofoam or bubble wrap.  See our Shipping Guide for more information pertaining to our shipping schedule.

Please be mindful of estimated delivery times for orders, as prolonged package exposure to outdoor weather conditions, such as snow or extreme heat, will affect perishable produce.

All boxes are assembled and shipped starting on Monday of the week following your purchase.  Please allow 1-2 weeks for your order to be shipped for any product which is in season.  Pre-Orders will ship the following season for each respective fruit type, see details below.

When one of our fruits is not currently in season, or has sold out, we highly recommend placing Pre-Orders. Placing a Pre-Order of our rare and premium tropical fruits reserves your Box for the following season. When supply is low and demand is high, Pre-Orders are shipped first. Pre-Orders are shipped in the order in which they are received for each type of fruit. Your Pre-Order is shipped as soon as the fruits are in season and ready to be picked.
