Organic Soursop (Guanabana)

Annona muricata, also known as Soursop or Guanabana, is native to southern Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean.  The fruits vary in size, though some can grow to be quite large weighing well over five pounds. The fruit has a sensitive, thin peel with a characteristic horned outer texture and appearance similar to other fruits within the same family, such as Rollinia. The inside of the fruit is white or opaque and the texture is smooth, rich and creamy. The fruit contains inedible seeds which should be spit out, because it is impractical to remove the seeds with a utensil, though it can be done by hand if you plan on blending the fruit. The inedible seeds must be removed before blending or juicing this delicious tropical fruit. The fruit tastes very sweet with a hint of sourness. The fruit is abundantly flavorful, and features a range of what can best be described as ‘tropical’ flavors. These flavors are often described as being reminiscent of pineapple, green apple, strawberry, fruit punch and more. Ultimately, the fruit is very unique and the flavor is too. The fruit is picked while it is green, and it gradually turns to a lighter yellow-green as it ripens. The fruit is ripe when it is soft, it will give a little when you press on it. Unripe fruit should be left at room temperature, but once ripe it should be eaten. Uneaten fruit may be placed in a refrigerator and should be used within a few days. Avoid refrigerating unripe fruit as this may indefinitely suspend the ripening process.

All of our Soursop is 100% organic. Our Soursop is from sustainable farms located in the Caribbean. The remaining fraction of the Soursop we sell is produced by our own trees, and by our local partners throughout Miami and South Florida, during the summer season.

Pre-Orders will ship in the order they are received, as soon as the fruit is in season and ready to be picked.

• Small Box contains approximately 4-6 pounds of fruit
• Medium Box contains approximately 8-10 pounds of fruit
• Large Box contains approximately 14-16 pounds of fruit

Box weight and amounts vary depending on fruit type, volume and density.  All boxes are shipped with sustainably produced biodegradable packing material instead of Styrofoam or bubble wrap.  See our Shipping Guide for more information pertaining to our shipping schedule.

Please be mindful of estimated delivery times for orders, as prolonged package exposure to outdoor weather conditions, such as snow or extreme heat, will affect perishable produce.

All boxes are assembled and shipped starting on Monday of the week following your purchase.  Please allow 1-2 weeks for your order to be shipped for any product which is in season.  Pre-Orders will ship the following season for each respective fruit type, see details below.

When one of our fruits is not currently in season, or has sold out, we highly recommend placing Pre-Orders. Placing a Pre-Order of our rare and premium tropical fruits reserves your Box for the following season. When supply is low and demand is high, Pre-Orders are shipped first. Pre-Orders are shipped in the order in which they are received for each type of fruit. Your Pre-Order is shipped as soon as the fruits are in season and ready to be picked.
